The Beretta 950 Jetfire is a simple, direct blowback pistol, chambered in 6.35mm (.25 ACP) and .22 Short, with a single-action trigger mechanism and tip-up barrel, manufactured in Italy and Brazil from 1952 till 2003.
The frame is made out of aluminum alloy and the slide and barrel are carbon steel.
Early models (pre-1968) do not have a manual safety lever, employing an inertial firing pin for safe hammer-down carry instead.
The Beretta 950 Jetfire chambered in .25 ACP is a backup, self-defense pistol that is intended for undercover agents, police officers or individuals as a concealed firearm for self-defense.
The tip-up barrel makes it easy to make safe and at the same time, easy to make ready to fire, especially for people who find it difficult to rack the slide of a small sized pistol.
